  • Field Setup and TakedownRosters | Brookvale Fc 2

Field Setup and Takedown Brookvale FC thrives on the dedication of its community, and nowhere is that more evident than in the support provided to set the stage for an exciting day of football and secure our game-day resources at the close of play. When you arrive at home games, the field will typically be set up and ready for play, so what is outlined here describes what to do if the fields are not already set up or if yours is the last game to be played over the weekend (teams will be advised if they are the last team to play and need to take down the nets, posts, cones, etc. AT GRAHAMS, there are two storage locations: The lockup shed stores nets for permanent goals, corner flags, cones, etc. The small portable goals for Under 8 and Under 9 teams (play on J8 and J9) are stored in the cricket nets. Contact one of the numbers below if you do not know the code for the padlock). AT MANLY WEST: All nets, corner flags, and field banners for the two fields (J12A and J12B) will be in the storage shed (at the northwest corner). The storage shed is padlocked, so you must contact one of the numbers below for access. Talent Identification – Pathways At Brookvale FC, we seek opportunities to identify the potential in all our players. Various initiatives combine to identify and support players eager to push their boundaries, refine their skills, and reach new heights. The club’s talent identification program is about identifying and nurturing talent. Our Talent Identification team communicates with coaches and age group coordinators to identify and quietly assess talent in age groups across the club. We combine effective communication, subtle evaluation, and a supportive approach to ensure players do not feel uncomfortable. And we recognise that playing in the top tier is not for everyone, regardless of talent. However, it is always nice and empowering to have been noticed! Top-Tier Trials Each year, Brookvale FC hosts structured trial sessions for players aspiring to join our Division 1 teams (please see your invitation for the coming season , noting that those who do not wish to trial are encouraged to enjoy their football in a social team that will be graded for an appropriate competition). Led by our Director of Coaching, the trials are designed to evaluate skill, commitment, and coachability in a welcoming and inclusive setting. Those who make the top-tier teams will be nurtured, kitted out with training gear and match-day apparel, and coached by our best coaches. The best of the best will be selected from our top-tier teams and invited to FUTURO VELOCE , our elite training program for the highest-performing top-tier players who may be seeking to compete at the next level. Of course, not everyone will necessarily make the top team, and some may miss out. We will always encourage every player and provide honest, personalised feedback and recommendations on progressing their football journey (for example, specific things to work on at home and in the coming season) and ideas for extended training through programs such as FUTURO. Brookvale FC’s Talent Identification Program is more than an opportunity—it’s a stepping stone to success, ensuring every player has the support and resources to thrive.
